We have received confirmation from DEFRA that the draft statutory instrument (S.I.) for extending the UK REACH submission deadlines was laid before Parliament on Thursday 20th April 2023. This will extend the deadlines for substances classified as CMRs and those with an annual volume of over 1000 t/year to October 2026, for substances manufactured or imported over 100 t/year to October 2028 and finally, remaining substances with volumes equal to or over 1 t/year will need to be registered by October 2030.
This S.I. is expected to be enacted and in force by Q3 2023.
